Interestingly enough, if the candidate does not have an email address, he or she can simply fill no@email.zzz in the required box and go on with the McDonald’s application process. This first step is followed by the aid information section which states that if the candidate needs technical accommodation to go through the assessment, he or she can receive it from the restaurant he or she is applying for by contacting the restaurant’s manager.

The McDonald’s application process then continues with the confirmation of the location already chosen. By clicking the “Continue” button, the candidate goes to the online McDonald’s job and employment form that needs to be completed. Aside from the personal info, like the full name and address, the candidate needs to answer some more questions like:

  • The position he or she is applying for.
  • The date from which he or she will be available to work.
  • Whether they have transportation to work.
  • If they are authorized to work in the United States.
  • If they are under 18 years of age, they need to provide the date of birth.
  • If they are willing to travel or relocate.
  • If they have a relative working at McDonald’s.
  • If they have ever been employed at McDonald’s before and where.
  • If they want a full-time or part-time position.
  • What shifts they are willing to cover any day of the week.
  • The daily availability.

Not all of these are mandatory, but answering all of them will help the hiring manager make a better assessment. After this section of the McDonald’s application process, the candidate can give information about his educational background, previous work experience, and whether he or she has ever been a member of the U.S. Military, because according to McDonald’s, they are actively seeking candidates with former military experience.

None of these are mandatory, but if the candidate chooses not to fill them, he or she will need to fill a form with this information during the in-person interview, so it is best to do it during the online McDonald’s application process.

The next step is to answer questions about any criminal background or sex offender registration. Candidates from some U.S. states can choose not to answer them.

Next, the candidate needs to sign the McDonalds application form and is informed that, if chosen for the job, he or she will need to provide an appropriate document to establish their identity, according to the U.S. law.

The next step consists of a personal assessment made of 67 statements from which the candidates must choose the ones which fit him or her most.

This part of the McDonalds application process takes between 15 or 30 minutes to go through, and it is mandatory. This is the final step of the McDonalds application process.
