Data from Glassdoor.com indicates that an Account Executive at Salesforce receives an average base pay of $78,813. However, if you include additional compensation like bonuses, commissions, and profit sharing, the average total pay is $130,000.

In addition to competitive pay, Salesforce offers best in class health benefits.

Compensation & Benefits

Using the data from Glassdoor.com, we see that the average salary for an outside sales person is $48,589. No information was shared regarding bonuses or commissions, so the average total pay as reported by employees is unavailable. However, Aflac’s statement on Glassdoor.com is as follows: “There’s no limit to your earning potential with Aflac—our top 5,000 agents earn an average of $173K per year through commissions, renewals, stocks and bonuses.”

In addition to the standard insurance benefits, the company offers the following Aflac policies to employees: Cancer Insurance, Hospital Intensive Care, Hospital Confinement Indemnity, Specified Health Event, Accident Insurance, Voluntary Group Term Life (VGTL). According to Glassdoor.com the average total pay for a USAA insurance agent is $40,000. While this is less than some of the other companies we’ve reviewed, this is more of an entry-level sales position, versus a more senior sales professional.

In addition to the common benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k matching, and paid time off, USAA sets itself apart with wellness and education benefits as well. Among others, a few of the most interesting benefits include tuition assistance, concierge service, and access to a personal trainer. Furthermore, as stated at USAA.com, “To support volunteerism, each employee receives up to two days of paid time per year to volunteer for nonprofit organizations of their choice.”

Looking at Comparably.com, 52 employees provided reviews and their opinions. These employees rated leadership a B+, compensation an A, and the quality of their coworkers an A. These employees indicate that they are happy at work.

From a work environment standpoint, USAA interestingly calls out their smoke-free policy on their website: “USAA is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace that is drug and alcohol-free.
